It is a show about cricket, which will enhance your knowledge about the game, its laws, and various roles, you as a community can play in organising and supporting cricket across Nottinghamshire. We want to encourage the youth to take up various roles to support cricket, especially young girls and women. We will have cricketing celebrities, umpires, scorers, former county and international cricketers and you can interact with them. The main aim of the show is to promote cricket and make it easy and accessible to one and all. We will bring some exciting and entertaining aspect of the game. Hi listeners, I am Masood Shaffi, welcome to my show – Just Cricket. I am currently a NPL and SNCL panel umpire and have been umpiring for 10 years and I have also umpired in Spain in T20 tournaments. I have played the game for over 40 years and have represented Nottinghamshire County Cricket Club and Leicestershire County Cricket Club. I have been involved with the game for half a century and have realised that our community is under-represented in officials (umpires, scorers, grounds men). So, my aim is to engage with people in our community and encourage them to be involved in this beautiful sport according to their abilities.
